KNIPEX StepCut Cable Shears: A quantum leap in cable cutting

Makes cutting up to 40 percent easier

Good news for all electrical professionals: The KNIPEX StepCut 95 11 160 cuts multi-core cables substantially more easily than cable cutters of a comparable length. It cuts wires and strands one after the other, reducing the effort required by up to 40 percent. This gives the cable shears, which are only 16 centimetres long, a surprisingly high capacity: They easily and precisely cut single and multi-conductor copper and aluminium cables up to a diameter of 15 millimetres (50 mm²) and solid NYM cables up to a maximum of 5 x 4 mm².

Sits comfortably in your hand: Two-component handles

The two-component handles are particularly easy on the hands. This ergonomic version doubles the contact surface between the handles and the hand. This significantly reduces the risk of blisters and pressure sores developing. These handles are particularly recommended for frequent use and when significant manual force is required.

The graduations separate individual wires one after the other, reducing effort

This is made possible by inductively hardened blades, with a milled serrated edge on the front and a flat edge on the back. Further plus points: The KNIPEX StepCut cuts surprisingly smoothly, mostly without crushing the cables; the pinch guard prevents injury; the bolted joint enables the cable cutter to work precisely and smoothly.

1. Step-by-step cutting explained: The KNIPEX StepCut takes a smart approach :  Light pressure on the handles is enough for the inductively hardened cutting edges to slice into the sheath of the multi-conductor cable.

2. This is how the graduations in the blades help : With just a little more pressure, the individual wires are arranged in line with the graduations.

3.  Noticeably easier cutting :  The KNIPEX StepCut then cuts the wires: First the single strands at the tip of the cutting edge, then the others. In particular when dealing with solid core lines, you can feel how the KNIPEX StepCut cuts the wires one after the other - right in your hand.
