Cut cable professionally: the ideal cable shears for electricians
Why cable should only be cut using cable shears
Unlike diagonal cutters, the cutting edges on cable cutters do not meet directly, but rather shear past each other. This produces a better cutting result with less effort compared to conventional diagonal cutters when cutting cable.
The cable shears from Knipex are therefore perfect for shortening cable, e.g. in house wiring work. They professionally cut e.g. NYM-J 3x1.5 mm or NYM-J 5x2.5 mm and all other stranded and finely stranded Cu and Al cable up to 50 mm². Due to the nature of their cutting edges, cable shears should not be used to cut hard wire, however.
Knipex 95 11 165: cable cutting with little physical effort
Thanks to their very sharp cutting edges, when cutting cable with the Knipex 95 11 165 the user only needs around one third of the physical effort compared to conventional diagonal cutters. Especially for prolonged house wiring work, less tiring work substantially reduces strain for the fitter. Thanks to a scissors action and the precision ground cutting edges, the result is a clean, technically perfect cut – and the ideal conditions for subsequent wire stripping and connection work.
Bolted joint – adjustable, self-locking and with smooth operation
These cable shears are particularly smooth operating thanks to the precisely running bolted joint. The bolted joint is self-locking, but can be adjusted where necessary. Users appreciate how easy it is to cut even larger cable cross sections using these cable shears. This is the overall product of interaction between all the qualities of the 95 11 165.
