The 180 mm long Knipex diagonal cutters are a powerful, quality tool for discerning users. The Knipex 70 07 180 diagonal cutters are dip-insulated in accordance with the insulation standard IEC 60900 / DIN EN 60900.
Strong, universal cutting capacity
With cutting capacities of up to Ø 2.5 mm with hard wire (e.g. wire rope fibre) and up to Ø 4.0 mm with soft wire (e.g. copper wire), the Knipex 70 07 180 diagonal cutters offer a broad range of applications. The long cutting edges make them excellent for cutting cable. The extremely carefully and precisely machined cutting edges enable even very fine stranded wire to be cut accurately – up to the tips of the cutting edges. This is a great advantage where space is restricted, for example when shortening cables in junction boxes or fine stranded wires in flush-mounted boxes.
Tough and durable
We forge these diagonal cutters from vanadium electric steel and give them high strength by warming them and then quenching them in oil. To achieve a permanently accurate cut, we additionally use high frequency electricity to give the cutting edges a hardness of approx. 62 HRC. The chrome plating is an effective rust protection which pays off during outdoor use. Thanks to the chrome plating, the diagonal cutters are particularly easy to clean.
